How does parent swap work?

After riding, they give their Parent Swap pass to the ride operator, and the other parent/guardian, who's been taking care of the little ones, can walk up the exit to get right on the ride.

Known officially as Rider Switch, this service allows parents with small children to experience height-restricted attractions without waiting in line twice. The process begins by approaching the Greeter at the entrance of the ride with your entire group. One parent (Parent A) and the child who is too small will wait in a designated area, while Parent B and any other eligible guests wait in the regular line. The Greeter will scan the MagicBand or ticket of Parent A to provide them with a digital "Rider Switch" entitlement. Once Parent B finishes the ride, they take over watching the small child, and Parent A can enter the ride through the Lightning Lane entrance, usually bringing one or two guests with them so they don't have to ride alone. This system is essential for families, ensuring that both adults get to enjoy the "E-ticket" attractions like TRON or Space Mountain while ensuring the safety of their younger children.

Chance to ride twice Each time that the too-young-to-ride child waits on the rest of the group to ride, they only need 1 adult to stay with them. If the person in Group 2 waited alone, that person will be allowed to take one guest with them when it is their turn to ride using their Rider Switch.

We do offer a child swap at the rides. One of the adults will wait in the regular line while the other parent waits at the exit. Please let the park ambassador know at the platform that you are using the child swap. Once you ride, you swap places with the other adult and they enter through the exit without waiting.
