How does park hop work at Disney World?

How It Works. Guests who purchased a ticket or Annual Pass with the Park Hopper benefits will be able to visit more than one park per day. We will set specific Park Hopper hours during which this option is available. Park Hopper hours will start at 2 PM each day and end at the park's scheduled close time.

In 2026, Park Hopping at Walt Disney World is more flexible than it was in the early 2020s. To use the feature, you must have a ticket with the "Park Hopper" option or an Annual Pass. You start your day by entering your first park (the one you may have made a reservation for, if required by your ticket type). Once you have physically scanned into that first park, you are free to "hop" to any of the other three parks (Epcot, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom) at any time of the day during normal operating hours, subject to capacity. Disney removed the "2:00 PM" restriction previously in place, allowing for much more spontaneous travel. You can use Disney's free transportation—monorails, Skyliner, boats, or buses—to move between the parks. A pro tip for 2026: check the My Disney Experience app before you hop; it provides real-time "capacity status" for each park. If a park is nearing capacity (which is rare except on major holidays), the app will send a push notification warning you that hopping to that specific park may be restricted.
