How early can I arrive at Disney Resort?

Check-in is officially at 3:00 PM at the Walt Disney World Resort hotels, but you can arrive at any time, even at 7:30 AM, to store your bags with Bell Services and get yourself set for a day in the parks.

You can arrive at a Disney World Resort as early as you like on your check-in day, even though official check-in time is typically 3:00 PM for standard rooms and 4:00 PM for Disney Vacation Club villas. Many guests arrive as early as 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM to "activate" their vacation. Upon arrival, you can head to the front desk or use the "Direct-to-Room" service in the My Disney Experience app to notify the resort you have arrived. While your room likely won't be ready that early, the resort will gladly store your luggage at Bell Services for free, allowing you to head straight to the theme parks or enjoy the resort's pools, restaurants, and amenities for the entire day. Furthermore, once you are "checked in" via the app or front desk, you are officially eligible for Early Theme Park Entry (the 30-minute head start for resort guests) on that very morning. Once your room is ready, you will receive a notification on your phone with your room number, and your MagicBand or phone will act as your digital key, allowing you to bypass the lobby and go straight to your room whenever you decide to return from the parks.
