How easy is it to get around Disney World?

It's fun and easy to get around Walt Disney World Resort! Our complimentary network of buses, boats and monorails can transport you between Disney Resort hotels, theme parks, water parks and shopping venues. Learn more about Walt Disney World Resort transportation.

Getting around Walt Disney World is generally very easy due to its massive, complimentary transportation network, though it requires some patience. The resort offers four main modes of transport: Buses, Monorails, the Disney Skyliner (gondolas), and Water Taxis. Most Disney-owned hotels have direct bus service to all four theme parks and Disney Springs. The Monorail is the fastest way to get between the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and the Transportation and Ticket Center. The Skyliner connects Epcot and Hollywood Studios to several resorts like Pop Century and the Riviera. While the systems are highly efficient and run every 15–20 minutes, the "ease" can diminish during peak times (park opening and closing), when wait lines can be long. For the fastest travel, many guests use "Minnie Vans" (via the Lyft app), which are Disney-operated point-to-point vehicles. As of early 2026, the system remains reliable, though the Skyliner often undergoes brief annual refurbishments in late January, during which extra bus service is provided to compensate.
