How long can you stay in Ice Castles?

You may stay as long as you'd like in the venue, as we do not limit the amount of time spent enjoying Ice Castles. Typically guests spend about 30 minutes to an hour. There is no re-entry allowed once you have exited the experience.

Will there be a restroom at Ice Castles? Each Ice Castles location is equipped with portable restroom facilities just outside of the entrance/exit to Ice Castles. If you need to exit the Castle briefly to use the restroom, please notify a crew member so they know to let you back in when you return.

The ice structure stops heat being transferred to the surroundings, because the ice and the windless air are both excellent insulators. The buildings depend on sub-freezing temperatures and usually melt in summer, rebuilt again from fresh ice every year.

In most ice hotels, beds are made of blocks of ice on wooden platforms. While this doesn't sound like a comfortable sleeping arrangement, they're topped with layers of foam and hides or furs to make them soft and insulated.

You are given access to your room at 6 pm, but the heated service building is staffed and open 24 hours, this is where you store your belongings, collect your sleeping bag and use the bathroom, shower and sauna.
