You must be between 26-30 to buy a 1-year 26-30 Railcard. You can buy it up to and including the day before your 31st birthday and keep using it until its expiry date.

How is it different from the 16-25 Railcard? The 26-30 Railcard essentially offers the same discounts as the 16-25 Railcard. The only difference is that the railcard for those over 25 will not include discounts for Caledonian Sleeper tickets.

If you are aged 26-30 years old and still in full-time education, you can choose whether to buy a 26-30 Railcard, or buy a 16-25 Railcard as a mature student. Mature students who are over the age of 30, can only choose the 16-25 Railcard option and apply as a mature student.
You don't need to live in Britain or be a UK citizen to be eligible. However, they can only be posted to UK addresses. Buy in person at a staffed railway station (each railcard is different, so it is best to check beforehand with Railcard Help to see if there are any documents that you will need to bring with you).
