How long does beast ride last?

The Beast departs from Pier 83, W. 42nd Street at West Side Highway, every hour on the hour 11 AM – 6 PM, six days a week (closed Mondays). The ride is about 30 minutes long.

"The Beast" at Kings Island in Mason, Ohio, is legendary not just for its intensity but for its exceptional duration, holding the Guinness World Record for the longest wooden roller coaster in the world. A single ride on The Beast lasts approximately 4 minutes and 10 seconds. This is significantly longer than the average modern roller coaster, which typically clocks in at under 2 minutes. The ride covers 7,359 feet of track through 35 acres of densely wooded terrain, featuring two massive lift hills and a final, thrilling 540-degree helix. The length of the ride is a result of its unique layout, which follows the natural contours of the land rather than relying on a compact footprint. Because it is so long and tucked away in the trees, riders often describe it as an "odyssey" or a "journey" rather than just a quick thrill. Night rides are particularly popular, as the four-minute duration in total darkness through the woods creates an unmatched sense of isolation and speed that makes the experience feel even longer.
