How long does companion fare last?

Once ticketed, travel can be completed after the expiration date — within 12 months of the date of issue. You can view your companion fare code's expiration date by logging into your Account profile and viewing the Discount and companion fare codes section.

Companion fare codes are unique discount codes that are issued annually to the following eligible cardholders. They cannot be transferred or redeemed by anyone other than the cardholder, and expire if not used within a year of issuance.

Outbound travel must take place before the expiry date on the Companion Voucher however inbound travel can take place after the expiry date of the Companion Voucher. Companion Vouchers are non extendable and non transferable. Once travel using the Companion Voucher has been booked no name changes are allowed.
