How long does EPCOT around the world take?

You can easily spend a full day (8+ hours) in World Showcase, but you can likely hit the highlights in about four hours.

While there is a lot to see and do, you can easily fit in your favorite attractions during a single day at Epcot. Additionally, don't overdo it with food and drinks. Only get your favorite dishes and split drinks with others in your group.

Walking Distances at EPCOT Just the walk around World Showcase alone is 1.2 miles. If you walk completely around Future World and World Showcase, you'll be at 3 miles easily. If you visit EPCOT during a festival and plan on seeing and eating everything, then you may walk around the park several times.

So when should you visit for the lowest crowds, generally? Go on a Wednesday! Fewer guests head to EPCOT mid-week and you can hopefully then walk up to the festival booths without having to wait in long lines. As a bonus tip — make sure to visit the festival booths early in the day.

Epcot has the most walking paths (measured by miles) and is the second-largest park by acreage. The park has two distinct sections: World Showcase and Future World. The layout of the larger section, World Showcase, is really simple.

As a general matter, Animal Kingdom is the park that requires the least strategy and is the easiest place to beat the crowds in all of Walt Disney World. It doesn't require Genie+ or Individual Lightning Lanes, and is pretty easy to knock out everything–and then some–if you stay for a full day.

September is typically a slower time at Disney World, but since the International Food and Wine Festival kicks off this month, Epcot is quite crowded this time of year. If you genuinely want to avoid a packed park, January and February are the best times to visit.

We've noticed a slight uptick in crowds on Thursdays, and a more significant one on Fridays. Still, not nearly as bad as Saturday or Sunday. Even though the impact on wait times isn't terrible, Epcot is the one park we try to avoid on Saturday and Sunday if at all possible.

A ticket is required to enter any of the Parks, even if you are just visiting a restaurant. If you have a Park Hopper ticket, it is easy to spend the day in one Park, then switch to Epcot for dinner. However, if you purchase Base Tickets, then you'll need to plan your Advanced Dining Reservations accordingly.

The EPCOT fireworks showtime is usually 9:00pm, every night. Epcot Forever is a temporary show, they run it while they are doing lagoon work so it's short and to the point.

Per the Walt Disney World Resort Park Rules, water bottles are permitted as long as they are not glass, so you're all set with your Hydro Flask. You'll be able to fill up your Hydro Flask at drinking fountains and water bottle refill stations throughout the parks; look for fountains outside most restrooms.
