How long does it take for Marriott Homes and Villas points to post?

Provided that the correct Marriott Bonvoy Membership Account Number is added as part of the booking process, Points will automatically appear in the Member's Account three (3) to six (6) weeks (21–42 days) following the completion of their stay. Members electing to earn miles are not eligible for this promotion.

For a standard stay at Marriott Homes & Villas, points typically post to your Marriott Bonvoy account within 72 hours (3 days) after you complete your stay. This is significantly faster than many other vacation rental platforms, which can take weeks to sync with loyalty programs. However, it is important to note that "completion of stay" is defined as the checkout date. If you are participating in a specific Global Promotion in 2026 (such as the Q1 "Find More Places to Shine" event), the bonus points and Elite Night Credits may take longer—sometimes up to 6 weeks after the end of the promotion period. To ensure your points post correctly, you must provide your Bonvoy number at the time of booking and ensure the email address on the reservation matches your account. Unlike traditional Marriott hotels, you cannot usually add your loyalty number after the stay is completed. If your points haven't appeared after 10 days, Marriott recommends using the "Missing Stay" form on their website, though you must wait at least 30 days after checkout to file a formal claim for a Homes & Villas property.
