How long does it take to go through Dollywood?

Dollywood is a large theme park, but perhaps more importantly, a very hilly theme park. If you have even moderate mobility issues, you might be intimidated.

Visit on a Lighter Day Generally, you'll find Dollywood is most crowded in summer and fall. While going to Dollywood in the low season is ideal, visiting on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday during summer is the best way to dodge crowds and long lines.

There's so much to see and do at Dollywood. Since you'll likely be there all day (or two), a backpack is probably one of the best bags to bring if you must bring something. Better than a purse, carrying a bag on your back will keep you hands-free and give you an extra place to store your beverage, keys and keepsakes.

Parking is $22.80 for all standard length vehicles, $27.35 for oversize length vehicles such as RVs and trailers. However, parking is FREE if you purchase a Dollywood Gold or Diamond Season Pass.

If you've got an open schedule and can afford to plan your whole trip around the best time to visit Dollywood, opt for April or September, both sunny and beautiful times of year without being too hot. (Make sure if you go in spring to avoid Spring Break week, though.)
