How long does it take to walk around Fira Santorini?

The Fira-Oia Hike is the single best thing to do in Santorini – with a Santorini boat tour being a close second. The hike takes you along the caldera cliff and through the villages of Fira, Firostefani, Imerovigli, and Oia. The hike takes between 3 and 5 hours depending on how fast you walk and how often you stop.

Oia is typically thought to be the more beautiful and romantic town on the island. I stayed there on my honeymoon and wouldn't have changed it. It was amazing at night to see all of hte people from the island come to the area around my hotel to see the sunset - when this was the view I had from my bed.

If you have less, choose one and do a day trip to the other. Fira is closer to the airport if you have limited time. It is also busier, buzzier, has loads of little shops and is more touristy which can be a plus for many. Oia is quieter and peaceful and more upmarket.
