Walking from the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel to Epcot is one of the most convenient and scenic commutes in the entire resort, typically taking between 10 and 15 minutes. The path is approximately 0.7 miles long and is entirely paved and well-lit. To start, you exit the back of the Dolphin (near the pool area) and head toward the BoardWalk. You will walk along the Crescent Lake waterfront, passing the Yacht Club and Beach Club resorts on your left. The walk concludes at the International Gateway entrance of Epcot, which is situated between the United Kingdom and France pavilions in the World Showcase. This entrance is a "hidden gem" because it is often much less crowded than the park's main front entrance. If you aren't in a hurry, you can also take a "Friendship Boat," which departs from the pier between the Swan and Dolphin, but because the boat makes several stops at other resorts, walking is almost always faster. This walk is especially pleasant in the early morning or late evening, offering beautiful views of the themed architecture reflected in the lake, and it allows you to bypass the Disney bus system entirely for your Epcot visit.
