How long is Fury 325 Lift Hill?

Ride experience Afterwards, the train climbs the 325-foot (99 m) chain lift hill.

The lift hill of Fury 325 at Carowinds is a massive engineering feat, standing 325 feet (99 meters) tall. While the physical length of the track on the lift hill incline is approximately 450 feet, the most impressive stat is the time it takes to reach the top. Using a traditional high-speed chain lift system, the train climbs the hill in roughly 60 to 70 seconds. During the ascent, riders are treated to a view of the Charlotte skyline before plunging down a 320-foot drop at a staggering 81-degree angle. In 2026, Fury 325 remains one of the tallest and fastest "Giga Coasters" in the world. The lift hill is particularly iconic because it crosses over the park's entrance plaza, allowing guests walking into the park to hear the mechanical "click-click-click" of the chain and the screams of riders before they even pass through the turnstiles.
