The Disneyland Railroad offers a grand circle tour of the park that takes approximately 18 to 22 minutes to complete. The train travels along a 1.2-mile track and makes four stops: Main Street, U.S.A., New Orleans Square, Mickey's Toontown, and Tomorrowland. While many guests use it as a practical "people mover" to get from one side of the park to the other, the full loop is a beloved attraction in its own right. The journey includes unique vistas that can only be seen from the train, such as the backwaters of the Rivers of America and the "Grand Canyon" and "Primeval World" dioramas located between Tomorrowland and Main Street. These dioramas feature taxidermy animals and animatronic dinosaurs, providing a classic "Disney" experience that has remained largely unchanged since the 1960s. The trains themselves are authentic steam-powered locomotives, four of which were named after Santa Fe Railway presidents. Whether you are using it for transit or for a relaxing break away from the crowds, the train provides a nostalgic, slow-paced look at the park's diverse themed lands.
