The walk between Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter and Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is a scenic stroll of approximately 0.5 to 0.75 miles (0.8 to 1.2 km). The paved, flat pathway follows the banks of the Sassagoula River, providing a relaxing environment with lush landscaping and water views. For an average adult walking at a leisurely pace, the journey from "lobby to lobby" takes about 12 to 15 minutes. This path is popular among guests who want to "resort hop" to enjoy different amenities, such as the Beignet shop at French Quarter or the Riverside Mill Food Court and the "Yehaa Bob" lounge at Riverside. The walk is also well-lit at night, making it safe for an evening stroll after returning from the theme parks. If you prefer not to walk, there is a complimentary water taxi (the Sassagoula River Cruise) that shuttles guests between the two resorts and Disney Springs, though walking is often faster than waiting for the next boat.
