The train journey from Sitges to Barcelona is remarkably quick and efficient, making it a popular day trip or commute. On average, the journey takes approximately 38 minutes on the Rodalies (R2 Sud) suburban rail line. The fastest direct services can arrive at Barcelona Sants station in as little as 35 minutes. Trains run very frequently, usually every 15 to 20 minutes throughout the day, starting from early morning until around 10:30 PM. The ride is quite scenic, as the tracks follow the Mediterranean coastline for much of the trip. Tickets are affordable (typically around €5–€6) and can be purchased from machines at the station. If you are heading to the city center (Passeig de Gràcia), the trip takes about 10 minutes longer than the stop at Sants, but it drops you right in the heart of Barcelona's famous shopping and architectural district.
