How many airlines are with Star Alliance?

Today, Star Alliance comprises 26 member airlines, each with its own distinctive culture and style of service. Alliance members come together at over 50 global hubs to offer smooth connections across a world-leading global network.

As of February 2026, Star Alliance consists of 25 member airlines. This network includes many of the world's most prominent carriers, such as United Airlines, Lufthansa, Air China, Air Canada, Singapore Airlines, and Turkish Airlines. Together, these members connect travelers to over 1,150 destinations in 190 countries, representing roughly 90% of the world. In addition to the full members, the alliance utilizes "Connecting Partners" like Juneyao Air and "Intermodal Partners" like Deutsche Bahn to provide seamless transit between air and rail. This structure allows frequent flyers to earn and redeem miles across a vast global grid while enjoying shared benefits like access to over 1,000 airport lounges. While the number of members fluctuates slightly over the years due to mergers and strategic shifts, the alliance remains the largest and oldest of the three major global airline groupings.
