For 2026 sailings, Carnival Cruise Line strictly prohibits guests from bringing any bottled water (or any beverages in plastic bottles) on board. This policy was implemented to streamline the embarkation security process and reduce plastic waste. However, you are permitted to bring a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages in cans or cartons (such as soda, sparkling water, or juice). The limit is 12 standard cans/cartons (12 oz each) per stateroom, and these must be carried on by the guest in their hand luggage, not in checked suitcases. If you prefer bottled water in your room, you must "pre-purchase" it through the Carnival website or via the HUB app once on board; a 12-pack of bottled water is usually delivered directly to your stateroom for a modest fee (approx. $10–$15). Note that distilled water for CPAP machines or nursery water for infants is an exception and can be brought on board, but it may be subject to inspection by security to ensure it has not been tampered with or replaced with alcohol.
