It's pretty unusual to be able to move to Germany without a job as most people come through with a work-sponsored visa, or move internally within their international company to an office in Germany. However, there are a few visas and allowances that will allow you to move to Germany without a job.
You must provide proof you have a minimum of EUR 45/ or USD 48.99 per day to spend during your stay in Germany. You can show proof of financial means via your bank statements or proof of sponsorship.
If you are a national from a country outside the EU wishing to visit or travel within the EU, you will need a valid passport and possibly a visa. Your passport should be valid for at least 3 months after the date you intend to leave the EU and it must have been issued within the last 10 years.
