The best time to visit Granada is in May and June as well as September and October. From May to June, temperatures are cool, flowers are fully bloomed and some of the city's biggest cultural events fill up the calendar.

With four or five nights, you will have time to see most of the city, as well as being able to see other interesting places near Granada, such as the Sierra Nevada ski resort (if you happen to visit the region between December and March) or some charming little towns in the Sierra de las Alpujarras.
El Realejo has got the lot: culture, history, nightlife and fantastic restaurants. If you're looking for a lively and hip vibe, and don't mind being a tad outside El Centro to do it, El Realejo is probably the best area to stay in Granada for you.
