How many horses does Disney World have?

Our “Neigh”-borhood. Tri-Circle-D Ranch is home to more than 90 of the Happiest Horses on Earth! The ranch is split into 2 locations: The stables near the Settlement area of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground are open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.

Walt Disney World maintains a majestic herd of approximately 80 to 90 horses at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch, located at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. This diverse herd includes several breeds such as Percherons, Clydesdales, Belgians, Appaloosas, and Quarter Horses. These working animals play vital roles across the resort; the smaller "white" ponies are famous for pulling Cinderella’s Crystal Coach for Disney Weddings, while the larger draft horses are responsible for the iconic Main Street, U.S.A. horse-drawn streetcars. In 2020, Disney completed a brand-new, state-of-the-art stable facility at the ranch, which is open to the public and features interactive exhibits and a "museum-style" walk-through. Approximately 30 to 35 dedicated Cast Members—specialized equestrians—provide 24/7 care for the horses. Guests can visit the ranch to see the horses in their stalls or even participate in guided trail rides, pony rides for children, and evening wagon tours, making it a "must-visit" for animal lovers looking for a break from the theme park crowds.
