How many hours do you need at California Adventure?

We took teenagers with us and we were all happy with about 6 hours in the park. You could do both parks if you prefer. It would be a long day for me, but still doable unless you want to ride on all rides. If it is warm...go on Grizzly River Rapids, way fun water ride.

To fully experience Disney California Adventure (DCA), you generally need between 8 to 12 hours. If your goal is to hit the "Big Three" attractions—Radiator Springs Racers, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT!—you will need a full day, especially during peak season. A 10-hour stay allows time for a sit-down meal at places like Lamplight Lounge and watching the "World of Color" nighttime spectacular. If you utilize the Lightning Lane Multi Pass system effectively, you can often finish the major highlights in about 6 or 7 hours on a weekday. However, DCA is a park designed for "soaking in the atmosphere," particularly in Cars Land and Avengers Campus. Families with small children may find that 8 hours is the "sweet spot" before exhaustion sets in, whereas dedicated fans might stay from rope drop until park close to catch every show, character meet-and-greet, and seasonal food offering available.
