EPCOT is arguably the least family-friendly park at Walt Disney World, so you may not need more than a few hours to do everything of interest if you have small children. With that said, a full day at EPCOT is highly recommended for first-timers.

In general, you should think of Epcot as a two-day park. There's so much to see and do that you really need a couple of days to enjoy everything without feeling like you're rushing through the park. But we recognize that most people can't or won't give two of their precious days at Disney to Epcot.
The best part is that you can eat lunch in a small village in Mexico and by evening you can dine near the Eiffel Tower. You can easily spend a full day (8+ hours) in World Showcase, but you can likely hit the highlights in about four hours.
As a general rule of thumb the best day of the week to visit EPCOT typically tends to be Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. We would recommend visiting on a Wednesday during the festivals mentioned above.
While you might not be able to get absolutely everything in the park done in a day (with the near-constant stream of Epcot festivals, there's often just too much to see, do, and eat), you will certainly be able to accomplish most or all of the rides, plus make a dent in whatever else strikes your fancy around World ...
So when should you visit for the lowest crowds, generally? Go on a Wednesday! Fewer guests head to EPCOT mid-week and you can hopefully then walk up to the festival booths without having to wait in long lines. As a bonus tip — make sure to visit the festival booths early in the day.
Hollywood Studios, like Animal Kingdom, is often considered a “half day Park,” meaning that Guests can-in theory-do everything in the Park in about half a day. In reality, you'll probably spend about half your day waiting in lines as Hollywood Studios is mostly big ticket attractions.
Prepare to spend at least $100 (most likely, around $130 to $150) to drink around the world at Epcot—just for the beverages. (A park ticket can range from $109 to $189, depending on the time of year, and food can be anywhere from a couple bucks to $20+.) Drinks can cost anywhere from $8 to $39 a pop.
Unfortunately, there isn't an option to visit for a half or partial day. I would suggest that you consider adding another day to your existing ticket if a theme park reservation is available for the half-day you would like to visit.
Is Epcot fun? For the right visitor, yes. If you're into rides more than general theme park merriment and atmosphere, we suggest skipping Epcot, as it doesn't offer as many thrills. However, families, foodies and world's fair enthusiasts will likely enjoy their time at this concept park.

EPCOT is my favorite Walt Disney World Theme Park! But many people wonder how much walking they will have to do. It's also a very big one with lots of walking required. Disney's theme parks require full days of walking, but EPCOT will certainly get your step count up for the day!
Standard Epcot parking costs $25. Preferred parking goes up to $50 on peak days. In contrast to parking at Magic Kingdom, parking at the other three parks is quite straightforward. Almost every time we've driven to the parks, we've been close enough to walk to the parks.
Animal Kingdom tends to be the park that needs the least amount of time to visit, but you could spend the back half of that day at Downtown Disney, which wouldn't use the hopper. Magic Kingdom is the main attraction and with it's high concentration of rides, I would recommend more time there than the other parks.
A trip at this time of year also has the added bonus of cooler temperatures — or, to superfans, Spirit Jersey weather. Disney World's least busy month, though, is almost always September.
