I recently returned from my first visit to Halloween Horror Nights 2023 and had a chance to experience all 10 houses. The headlining intellectual property houses included Stranger Things 4, The Last of Us, The Exorcist: Believer, Chucky: Ultimate Kill Count, and Universal Monsters: Unmasked. These were complemented by five original concept houses: Dr. Oddfellow’s Twisted Origins, Dueling Dragons: Choose Thy Fate, YETI: Campground Kills, The Darkest Deal, and Bloodmoon: Dark Offerings. In addition to the 10 houses, the event included five scare zones and live entertainment. Universal Studios Hollywood's version of the event typically mirrors this count or stays very close, often featuring 8 to 10 houses depending on the year's specific layout and construction. The 10-house standard has become the hallmark for the Orlando event, providing a full night of scares for guests navigating the fog-filled streets of the park.
