How many inches do you have to be to ride Slinky Dog?

Slinky Dog Dash – Guests must be 38 inches (97 centimeters) or taller.

To ride Slinky Dog Dash at Disney's Hollywood Studios, guests must be at least 38 inches (97 centimeters) tall. This height requirement is strictly enforced by Cast Members at the entrance of the attraction and again just before you board the ride vehicle. Slinky Dog Dash is a "family-friendly" multi-launch coaster, meaning it is designed to be a "step up" for children who have outgrown the smallest kiddie rides but aren't yet ready for the intense loops of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (which requires 48 inches). Even if a child meets the height requirement, parents should be aware that the ride features sudden launches, moderate drops, and high-speed turns that may be intimidating for some younger riders. For those traveling with children who do not meet the 38-inch mark, Disney offers a "Rider Switch" service, allowing one parent to wait with the child while the other rides, and then swap without waiting in the full standby line again.
