EPCOT is my favorite Walt Disney World Theme Park! But many people wonder how much walking they will have to do. It's also a very big one with lots of walking required. Disney's theme parks require full days of walking, but EPCOT will certainly get your step count up for the day!
Its about a 15 minute walk from the Epcot parking lot to bag check and then the gates. For AK and HS,it is more like 10 minutes. For the MK,we get there early and park up front;then take the ferry from the parking lot to the gate. That takes about 20-30 minutes and is really thrilling.
Yes, you may walk around Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park with your adult beverage of choice purchased in the park, provided you are doing so respectfully and responsibly.

The two sections of the park are very different in atmosphere and offerings, so it is like you're visiting two parks in one. Even with so much to see, Epcot can easily be visited during a single day.
If you are able to walk past all of the tempting pavilions, (what willpower!) your trip around World Showcase is about 1.3 miles. Sooo, considering the fact that you may have strollers and other obstacles in your way, I would allow 30 minutes just to be safe.
In general, you should think of Epcot as a two-day park. There's so much to see and do that you really need a couple of days to enjoy everything without feeling like you're rushing through the park. But we recognize that most people can't or won't give two of their precious days at Disney to Epcot.
We spent the entire day at Epcot enjoying all of the countries and the amazing food. 20,207 steps. (10 miles!!!) As you can see it was VERY easy to hit my 10K/day at the Disney Parks.
