How many people can rider swap?

The Rider Switch pass allows up to three guests entry to an attraction, so one adult can take an older child on the ride, then a second adult can take that same child again as part of the second group.

Upon arriving at the selected attraction, approach the greeting Cast Member with your entire group and inform them you are interested in the Rider Switch option. Members will be divided into 2 parties: “Party 1” will board the attraction first, while “Party 2”—a maximum of 2 people from the rest of your party—waits.

Single Rider is a service that allows groups to split up and embark on select attractions individually! A Cast Member can direct you to the designated queue, where your party will be separated to fill remaining seats that aren't occupied by Guests utilizing stand-by lines.

Bear in mind that Disneyland tickets are free for those under 3 years old. We went to Disneyland with a two-year-old Arlo, but it was just a week before his third birthday, which saved us a lot of money! Also, you don't have to prove the child is under three, so make of that what you will!

In general we do find the single rider lines at Universal Studios to be worth it on the thrill rides or any ride with an average wait time of sixty minutes or more.
