The most astonishing of the pools is sure to be Royal Bay, located starboard on deck 15, which will be the largest pool ever at sea, with 40,000 gallons of splashtastic fun.
The lower and more central you are in a ship, the less roll and sway you will feel. Even if you choose a balcony room, choose a low level and a room closest to the ship's center. The higher decks and cabins at the front (forward) or back (aft) of the ship will rock and roll the most.

Pools are typically small and no deeper than 5 or 6 feet. Diving and jumping is not permitted; you are welcome to swim laps, but each lap will be short, and the pools will likely be crowded at peak hours.

Cruise ship workers are not supposed to hook up with passengers, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. It is rare though – most crew follow the rules because they know they'll lose their job if they're caught. You won't be surprised to hear that cruise lines ban crew from having sex with passengers.
Many regular cruise rooms, also called cabins or staterooms, can sleep up to four people. All rooms have two twin beds that can be pushed together to form a queen or king; additional sleeping spots might be a pullout sofa or upper bunks that fold down or pull down from the wall or ceiling.
They might get an older friend to buy them a drink (though both parties could get kicked off the ship if caught) or smuggle booze onboard and drink secretly in their stateroom or in the cabin of a friend. It's up to you to set rules about where your kids can be without you or what kind of behavior you expect from them.
When do The Swimming Pools Close? On most cruise lines, the swimming pools are open from early morning until the evening. On some cruise lines, you'll find the pools and hot tubs open late into the evening which I particularly enjoy. There's not a lot better than an evening swim beneath the stars!
Can people swim at night on a cruise ship? It depends on the ship and the weather. Most pools close in the evening although hot tubs usually stay open later. In rough weather, pools are usually closed, and often drained.
The best time to board a cruise ship is obviously when there are few lines and short waits. The trick is knowing when that will be. Unfortunately, it can vary from port to port and ship to ship, but I prefer arriving in the early afternoon, usually around 1 or 2 p.m.
The best location to book your cabin will be in the center of the cruise ship and on the lower deck. The lower you go down, the less rocking you will experience during your trip. If you suffer from any motion sickness, this area is ideal for you.
