Orlando International Airport has 3 terminals. The North Terminal Complex consists of a large main terminal building divided into north and south sides, and four airside concourses accessible with elevated people movers, with a total of 93 gates.
Terminal A and Terminal B are opposite sides of the same building, which is only 525 feet across. Crossing from Terminal A to Terminal B (or vice versa) can be done on Level 3.
At 11,605 acres (4,696 ha), MCO is one of the largest commercial airports in terms of land area in the United States. In addition, the airport is home to a maintenance base for United Airlines.
As long as you know how the terminals and concourses are laid out ahead of time, it's going to be a piece of cake. Assuming you won't have to change terminals, short layovers in the Orlando airport can be as little as 35 minutes. If you do have to change terminals, plan for at least an hour at minimum.
Pedestrian walkways connect Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at San Diego International Airport. Pedestrian bridges and crosswalks connect the passenger terminals to transportation islands and adjacent parking lots in front of the terminals.
The general rule of thumb is to arrive at the airport 2 hours before a domestic flight's departure time. MCO officials, however, recommend getting to the Orlando airport 3 hours in advance. Doing so will ensure you have ample time to check any bags, get through security, and find your gate.
