At Disneyland Resort in California, there is no official limit to the number of times you can "hop" back and forth between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure in a single day. Once you have entered your first park (for which you made a reservation) and the park-hopping window has opened (typically at 11:00 AM, though this is shifting earlier in 2026), you are free to cross the Esplanade as many times as you like until the parks close. The physical distance between the two park entrances is only about 100 yards, making it very easy to move between them multiple times. The only practical limitation is the requirement to scan your ticket and undergo a brief security re-entry (if you leave the security perimeter) each time. However, on exceptionally rare days when a park reaches maximum capacity, "hopping" to that specific park may be temporarily suspended to maintain safety standards.
