Generally, a Disney Annual Pass can only be reassigned one time, and this must occur before the pass is ever used or activated. Once a pass is linked to a specific person and used for their first park entry, it becomes non-transferable and is tied to that individual's biometric data or photo for the duration of its validity. This strict policy is in place to prevent the resale of passes and to ensure that only the original purchaser or intended recipient benefits from the membership. If you purchased a pass as a gift and linked it to the wrong person in your "Family & Friends" list on the My Disney Experience app, you can usually reassign it to the correct person through the "Tickets and Passes" section, provided it remains unused. However, after that initial assignment and first scan at the turnstiles, the pass is locked. If there is a legal name change or a significant error, you cannot simply reassign it; instead, you must contact Disney's Guest Secrets or visit a Guest Relations window at the park with a valid ID to have the profile updated.
