What's the 120 minute rule? The way Genie+ ride reservations work is that you can book one at a time, and can either make another selection after two hours (120 minutes) or once you tap into your previous Genie+ selection (both tapstiles at attractions that have two)—whichever comes first.

Under the 2026 Lightning Lane Multi Pass system (the successor to Genie+), you can use the service to book as many attractions as are available in the park, but with one major restriction: you can only use a Lightning Lane for each specific attraction once per day. For example, if you use a Lightning Lane for Haunted Mansion at 10:00 AM, you cannot book another Lightning Lane for Haunted Mansion later that afternoon; if you want to ride it again, you must use the standby line. In terms of total quantity, most savvy guests can manage to fit 6 to 10 attractions into a single day using the "book another as soon as you tap in" strategy. The system allows you to hold up to three reservations at once. As soon as you scan your MagicBand or phone at the entrance of your first ride, you are immediately eligible to go into the app and book your next available selection. This "rolling" process continues until the park closes or until all Lightning Lane "return times" for the day have been fully distributed to other guests.
