A standard Ryanair Boeing 737-800 is equipped with three toilets: one at the front of the cabin (near the flight deck) and two at the rear. On the newer Boeing 737-8200 "Gamechanger" aircraft, which Ryanair is heavily utilizing in 2026 to increase capacity to 197 seats, the configuration remains three toilets, but they are designed to be more "space-efficient" to allow for the extra rows of seating. Despite several famous "threats" from CEO Michael O'Leary over the years to remove toilets or introduce a "pay-to-pee" system, these plans were never implemented due to safety and health regulations. For a full flight of nearly 200 people, a ratio of one toilet per 66 passengers means that queues are frequent, especially during the middle of the flight. Travelers are often advised to use the terminal facilities before boarding to avoid the cramped and often busy onboard lavatories.
