How much does a Disneyland lightsaber cost?

At $249.99 plus tax, it'll certainly take a chunk out of your (or in my case, Mommy Frog's) wallet. Know that you're paying not only for the lightsaber itself but also for the experience of building it in the workshop. Is it really worth the price?

As of 2026, a custom-built lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge (at both Disneyland and Hollywood Studios) costs $249.99 plus tax. This price includes the guided "ceremony," the heavy metal hilt of your choice (Power and Control, Elemental Nature, etc.), a kyber crystal (Red, Blue, Green, or Violet), and a 31-inch detachable blade, along with a padded carrying case. For those who don't want to do the build-your-own experience, the "Legacy Lightsabers" found at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities typically range from $159.00 to $225.00 for just the hilt; the blade must be purchased separately for approximately $50. Disney also offers much more affordable, "plastic" versions at the Star Trader or other gift shops for roughly $35 to $50. While the $250 price tag for a custom saber is a significant investment, the high-quality metal construction and the theatrical experience of the build—where you "discover" your crystal in a secret workshop—remain one of the most popular and highly sought-after premium experiences in the Disney parks for Star Wars fans of all ages.
