As of early 2026, the entrance fee for the Osaka Castle Main Keep (Museum) is 1,200 yen (approx. $8.00) for adults. For university and high school students, the rate is discounted to 600 yen, provided a valid student ID is presented. Children aged 15 and under can enter the Main Keep for free. If you only wish to explore the surrounding Osaka Castle Park, there is no admission fee; the grounds, outer moats, and massive stone walls are open to the public for free year-round. However, if you want to visit the beautiful Nishinomaru Garden (famous for its 300 cherry trees), there is an additional small fee of 200 yen. Most 2026 visitors find the 1,200 yen museum ticket worth the cost for the panoramic view from the 8th-floor observation deck, which offers one of the best perspectives of the Osaka skyline contrasted against the castle’s historic green-and-gold roof tiles and massive fortifications.
