How tall is Gemini at Cedar Point?

Red and blue trains travel parallel next to one another – complete with smack talk coming from both competitors, and it all starts straight from the station and up the 125-foot climb before dropping into hills that prove whose fastest.

Gemini at Cedar Point stands at a height of 125 feet (38 meters). When it opened in 1978, it was marketed as the tallest, fastest, and steepest roller coaster in the world, though those records were quickly eclipsed. It is a unique "hybrid" coaster, meaning it has a steel track supported by a massive wooden structure. The ride is famous for its "racing" aspect, featuring two parallel tracks (Red and Blue) where trains depart simultaneously. This allows passengers to "high-five" or taunt each other as they climb the 125-foot lift hill and plummet down a 118-foot drop at speeds of 60 mph (97 km/h). Because of its high capacity and relatively moderate "thrill level 5" rating, it remains a beloved classic at the park, offering a smoother experience than purely wooden coasters while maintaining the nostalgic aesthetic of a traditional boardwalk-style ride.
