How to book a room for more than 4 people on Royal Caribbean?

To book for a party of 5 or more on Royal Caribbean, you often have to look beyond the standard online booking tool. While the website allows you to search for up to 4 guests per cabin, larger families typically require specialized accommodations like Ultra Spacious Ocean View rooms, Family Suites, or the Ultimate Family Townhouse (on Icon-class ships). Because these specific cabins are limited, they often don't appear in general searches if they are already booked. The most efficient way to book for 5+ people is to call a Royal Caribbean Vacation Planner or use a travel agent. They can find "connecting staterooms"—two separate cabins with an internal door—which is often cheaper than a single large suite and provides the added benefit of two bathrooms. If you are a large group of 8 or more, you may also qualify for "Group Rates," which can include significant discounts and onboard credit if booked through the dedicated group department.
