How to get free drinks on Delta?

Complimentary beverages are available during beverage service in Delta One®, First Class and Delta Comfort+®. Alcoholic beverages are available for purchase in Main Cabin. Alcohol may only be served to customers over the age of 21.

On Delta Air Lines, the availability of free alcoholic beverages depends entirely on your cabin class and the length of your flight. If you are flying in Delta One, First Class, Premium Select, or Delta Comfort+, beer, wine, and spirits are always complimentary, regardless of the flight distance. In the Main Cabin (standard Economy), alcoholic drinks are only free on long-haul international flights (typically trans-oceanic routes). For domestic Main Cabin flights, only non-alcoholic beverages (Coke products, Starbucks coffee, juices) and snacks are free. However, there are a few "hacks" for Main Cabin passengers: if you have a Delta SkyMiles American Express card, you may occasionally receive "Have a Drink on Us" vouchers in the mail or via the app. Additionally, if you are a Medallion elite member, you are often provided with digital drink vouchers. During significant delays or service recovery situations, flight attendants may also offer a "round on the house" at their discretion. Finally, keep an eye out for special promotions where Delta partners with brands to offer seasonal complimentary beverages to all passengers.
