How to get from Piraeus Port to downtown Athens?

A great way to get to the city centre from Piraeus Port is via the metro system, as it's cheap and easy to use. Taking the metro costs just €1.20 and the trip lasts about 30 minutes. You'll need to take the Blue Line (Line 3) towards the Airport. You can get off at Monastiraki or Syntagma, both are in central Athens.
