How to upgrade tickets to Genie?

Be sure to have your valid Disney theme park ticket and your Disney Park Pass reservation. From the main menu in the My Disney Experience mobile app, select “My Disney Genie Day”. Select the “Tip Board” tab, then tap “Get Disney Genie+ for Today”.

As of mid-2024, the original "Genie+" has been replaced by the Lightning Lane Multi Pass at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, and "upgrading" is now done entirely through the official park apps. To add this service to your tickets in 2026, you first need to have a valid park admission linked to your MyDisney account. For Walt Disney World, you can purchase the Multi Pass up to 7 days in advance if you are staying at a Disney Resort, or 3 days in advance if you are staying off-site. For Disneyland, you can buy it as an add-on at the time of ticket purchase or "day-of" once you enter the park. Simply open the app, find the "Lightning Lane Multi Pass" banner on the home screen, and follow the prompts to select your date and pay. It is important to note that you can no longer "pre-purchase" the service for your entire multi-day trip unless you are buying a specific vacation package; for most guests, it is a daily selection that varies in price based on demand, often ranging from $15 to $35 per person per day.
