Is 30A too crowded?

30A is special, and the beaches are some of the most beautiful in the world! Most of this advice really pertains to peak season, including Summer as well as Fall and Spring Breaks. In the off-season and shoulder seasons, the beaches as a whole aren't as busy.

The beach was so crowded that you literally had maybe one foot between you and the stranger next door. Everyone is very nice and cordial, just know you will have zero space. The umbrella rentals are pretty steep, so be prepared. It's a lovely beach but it's way past capacity for spring break.
