I'm not being oblivious or anything but I am pretty sure I haven't done anything that warranted a 1-star rating, always being clean and on-time etc... I know that in the US ratings can get quite harsh and if you don't give a good tip you might not get a good rider rating, so 4.8 is considered great.
Anything below 4.5 stars isn't ideal. If you check your rating and it's lower than you like, the only way to make it better is to take more rides and take heed to the following advice. It may take a while, but that 3.9 can grow to 4.6 in no time.
The basic consensus is this: Anything above a 4.9 is excellent, possibly even worth bragging about on Tinder; the 4.8 range is good; the 4.7 range is merely fine; the 4.6 range is nearing the borderline. Once your rating dips below 4.6, drivers start thinking you might be a little sketchy.

If you're in the Uber app then 1st click on your photo & then you will see your customer svc avg. Under that line of information you will see how many trips you have completed. Also you can always call the helpline within the app for information.
