Is 75 warm enough for the beach?

There's a difference between going to the beach, and going in the water. You're probably not going to be happy going into, and then coming out of the water, if the air temperature is much below about 75°, give or take. But, you can take your family to the beach anytime!

What's warm enough for you and what's warm enough for me may not be the same thing. But generally people will start going in for a swim when the water temperature warms up to around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. At 75 degrees, most people will venture in and at 80, anyone will swim comfortably.

The best time is when the tide has been low in the morning, and the incoming afternoon tide flows over the hot sands. If the timing is right, early evening with the tide now high and the sun setting over calm warm waters is hard to beat.
