Is a week too long in Marrakech?

Marrakech for 7 nights is about right, many people come here for just a couple of days and do not get a chance to really explore and experience all their is to do. My travel companion and I were in Marrakech in March for 7 days and nights. Too many, in my opinion, unless you do have day trips planned.
