Is Aeroflot still in SkyTeam?

SkyTeam and Aeroflot have agreed to temporarily suspend the airline's SkyTeam membership, effective immediately. We are working to limit the impact for customers and will inform those affected by any changes to SkyTeam benefits and services.

As of early 2026, Aeroflot remains officially suspended from the SkyTeam alliance. This suspension was initially enacted in April 2022 following the geopolitical conflict in Ukraine and has remained in place due to ongoing international sanctions and the severance of cooperative agreements between Aeroflot and Western member airlines. While Aeroflot has not been formally expelled and technically remains a "de jure" member on some legacy documentation, all alliance benefits have been halted. This means that SkyTeam Elite and Elite Plus members cannot access Aeroflot lounges, earn or redeem miles on Aeroflot-operated flights, or enjoy priority services when flying with the carrier. Similarly, Aeroflot's own loyalty members cannot utilize their status across the SkyTeam network, which includes airlines like Delta, Air France, and KLM. The airline has shifted its focus toward domestic operations and partnerships with carriers in non-sanctioning regions, making its return to full SkyTeam functionality unlikely for the foreseeable future.
