As of early 2026, American Airlines has not introduced a direct one-to-one replacement for the AirPass (formerly AAirpass) program. American officially stopped selling new AirPass memberships and renewals on November 30, 2022, and aimed to fully sunset the program for non-lifetime members by early 2024. The airline's strategy has been to migrate these high-value frequent flyers toward "published fares" and corporate contract structures rather than the fixed-rate, prepaid model. While the airline has occasionally offered former AirPass holders the opportunity to purchase ConciergeKey status directly to "sweeten" the transition, a similar prepaid debit-style travel fund with fixed mileage rates does not currently exist in their portfolio. It is important to note that the original Lifetime AAirpass contracts (sold mostly in the 1980s) are still being honored as legal commitments, but for everyone else, the program is effectively a part of aviation history.
