Is an Off-Peak Return an advance ticket?

All ticket types can be bought in advance, but you only 'walk-on' tickets, ie seasons, rovers, rangers, anytime, off-peak tickets can definitely be bought on the day of travel. Anytime tickets can be bought as single or return; off-peak tickets can usually only be bought as returns.
