Is Blizzard Beach seasonal?

Blizzard Beach is open year-round with an annual maintenance closure in the winter. During the closure, its sister park, Typhoon Lagoon, will remain open. The majority of the major attractions at the park are hosted atop of Mount Gushmore, an artificial hill with an elevation of 90 feet (27.4 m).

Disney has two water theme parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Both parks are open most of the year. But Disney will close one of the parks for refurbishment for three months or so on an alternating basis. Blizzard Beach vs Typhoon Lagoon: The Best Disney Water Park Typhoon Lagoon wins in a lot of areas. It has a wonderful lazy river, a family raft ride, and an amazing wave pool. There's a more relaxing theme and a nice laid-back, tropical feel.
