Time Needed: Approximately 1 hour, 15 minutes (53-miles) to drive from Jackson to the South Entrance of Yellowstone. Leave around 6 a.m. and enjoy the sunrise along the Teton Range as you drive north the entire length of Grand Teton National Park to get to Yellowstone's entrance.

Gardiner. Gardiner, Montana, is just outside the park, near the North Entrance Station and its historic Roosevelt Arch. This is the closest town near Yellowstone for access to the northern attractions like the Mammoth Hot Springs, Lamar Valley and Tower Fall.
